To My Future Wife:
I don’t expect you to trust me automatically. Instead, I’ll earn your trust and show you that I’ll always be faithful to you and our family, no matter what.

To My Future Wife:
Though I’m stubborn and hard-headed, I’ll still listen to you and value your opinion. You’re my partner and my equal. I’ve never had that before, but I look forward to having it with you.

When Today Becomes Tomorrow
“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart”-Psalm 27:14 Tonight I grew excited as I was checking off the classes I have taken so far while in college, and put a mark by the ones I am about to take next semester. I grew excited at the fact that I am one step closer to what I know will be an amazing career. This next semester I will get to jump into my major, which happens to be communication studies with a public relations emphasis. With four of my five classes next semester being classes that are offered through the communication I will begin to learn both the ins and outs of my major. My hope is that with my degree I will one day establish a career as one of three options. My first choice is to become a publicist for celebrities. With a close second as either the head of marketing for a successful, popular entertainment magazine or a writer for a successful, popular entertainment magazine. Growing up I always found it fascinating to keep up with all the latest news about countless stars. Also, one of my main drives for wanting to achieve such a career came from my passion for editing. Which stemed from my two years in yearbook/newspaper back in high school. Growing up I had also developed a liking for short writing. With God anything is possible!

The Adventures of Summer
“We should come home from adventures, and perils, and discoveries every day with new experience and character”-Henry David Thoreau
Yes! Hard to believe, but another school year has come and gone. One of the best I might add. Now it summertime and one of the main focuses of my summer has been adventures. More specifically, road trips. Which is funny because that is exactly what our four-week series is on in church right now. We are talking about the four steps in our road trip with God. Anyway I’m going off on a tangent, so let me get back to what I wanted to talk about haha. My first adventure of summer was going to Glendale to reunite with PJ, my roommate. I had been to Glendale several times before this past year while in school, but this particular time my trip there was different . A good different though. One because while there I not only got to kick it with PJ but Brandon, his god brother, and Mykael Williams as well. The highlight of the trip would be the night when Mykael, PJ, and I went to the Griffith Park Observatory. Which surprisingly I had never been to before. The view from up there was so amazing. After that we cruisedthe streets of Hollywood with the music blasting. The funny part of the night would be later on when we decided to go on a late night food run to Taco Bell. When PJ pulled up and preceded to order the guy made a weird noise in the drive-thru speaker. After many attempts of trying to order food the guy failed to answer PJ, but since he had made that weird sound/noise we knew he was inside. Next, we decided to pull up to the window to see if he would take our order there. However, he was nowhere to be found….UNTIL Mykael spotted him trying to hide from us behind the food counter in the back. LOL Needless to say it made a great moment of laughter among us. Overall I’d say my first adventure of summer was a success. Upon returning home with several weeks of work to follow. For those of you would do not know I work as a cashier in the concession stand at a minor-league baseball stadium near my house. That is what I mean by “work”. My next adventure would start in Escondido for a visit to see Craig Petrovich, my freshman year RA, for a few days while he was house-sitting for his aunt. The main reason for this adventure was because he wanted the opportunity to see me before he leaves for Semester at Sea. The first night of being there I got to hang out with both Craig and Caleb Peterson. Craig took us to well-known donut shop for that area. The donut was delicious! Good choice Craig. The next day I got the pleasure of being invited to one of my great friends Cassy Gutierrez house for a MemorialDay BBQ in Vista . I was excited I got to see her a few weeks before she leaves on a missions trip to Fuji with a team. Her family cooked some AWESOME food . Thanks again for inviting me Cassy! On my last night there I got the honor of meeting up with some fellow Vanguard classmates of mine at Ashlee’s house for a night in Downtown San Diego. I’m sure they all could say the same, but that night was an adventure in itself. As Brielle, Emilee, Caleb, Preston, Craig, Ashlee, and I headed for Downtown our first stop would be at Point Loma to watch what would be a gorgeoussunset. It was gorgeous because it was over the endless ocean and also because it had been so clear out that day. Downtown was so much fun! Eating pizza for dinner, getting ice cream for dessert, wishing we were all 21, and just roaming the streets of the Gas Lamp District. Man, what a geat night that was! It ended off great with us all sitting around the fire chimney at Ashlee’s house talking about God and roasting marshmallows at 1 in the morning :)
